Does this trick really work with ANY card?When magicians see a performance clip of The Stranger, the first thing they ask is if this requires sleight-of-hand or a ‘card force’.
The answer is NO. There are no forces in The Stranger—and frankly, no sleight-of-hand of any kind. You don’t even need cards to do The Stranger! Instead, you can ask a spectator to name ANY card they want.
And remember, no matter what phone number the audience member dials, a stranger answers the phone—and instantly tells the spectator the card they’re thinking of! So yes – The Stranger does work with ANY card.
NOTE: The Stranger is a powerful tool with many customization options. So if you have a larger routine in mind that requires a ‘force card’, you CAN set-up The Stranger to use a force card if you want.

Does The Stranger really Use ANY phone Number?
Just as the card is a free choice, so is the phone number.
So as long as the phone number is in the continental United States, yes, The Stranger really works with any phone number.
Note: In the Stranger App, you’ll find an amazing selection of options for creating custom routines.
For example, you can choose the have the phone ‘answered’ by a voicemail message. Or if you prefer, you can have the call answered by an automatic ‘disconnected number’ message.
Choose either of these options, or combine them, and create an incredibly powerful and realistic illusion.
Whether you choose to have The Stranger answer on the first, second or third try—even the most skeptical audience member will be convinced that ‘nothing sneaky’ is happening.

Do you need a code or a 'stooge'?
Absolutely not—and that’s kind of the point! The Stranger is a miracle. Normally, for an effect to be THIS powerful, you need the help of a secret assistant—and often, a secret ‘code’ too.
When you have The Stranger, your spectator can really name ANY card and dial ANY phone number. You can perform this miracle any time, with no notice—you don’t need ANY preparation or ANY stooges.
NOTE: The Stranger has robust options for customization, so if want to perform the trick with a secret accomplice, you certainly can do that too. Simply visit the App Settings for The Stranger and select a contact from your address book. The rest is automatic!
